Information You Submit
Names Entered for Search
A name, location, or other term entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates the search service. Dunklin County Released Inmates does not retain or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider may process the request under its privacy policy, terms, and technical practices. Visitors should review those terms before submitting information that they consider sensitive.
Messages Sent to Us
An email or contact-form message may include the sender’s name, email address, and any details placed in the message. We keep that information as needed to read the request, respond, prevent abuse, and maintain a record of the exchange. Contact messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law, a valid legal process, or the protection of legal rights.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine web systems can record limited technical and usage details when a page loads. These records help deliver the page, measure performance, detect misuse, and understand broad traffic patterns. They may include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- The browser name, browser type, and version
- The device category and operating system
- Pages opened and approximate time spent on them
- The referring website or link, when supplied
- The date and time connected with each request
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors move through the site, remember basic preferences, support advertising, and measure whether pages function as expected. A browser can reject or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking them may change how some search, preference, analytics, or advertising features behave.
How Information Supports the Site
Collected information is used only for operational, measurement, support, security, search-routing, and advertising purposes connected with the service. Those uses include:
- Operate pages reliably and improve loading performance
- Send a search request to the partner selected to process it
- Measure which Dunklin County resource pages visitors use
- Diagnose errors, security events, and broken site functions
- Deliver advertising that may reflect general interests
Official and External Websites
Links may lead to the Dunklin County Sheriff and jail, Missouri courts, the Missouri Department of Corrections, MOVANS, federal custody systems, legal resources, or third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination’s privacy policy and data practices control. Official Missouri records may be governed by the Missouri Sunshine Law, chapter 610, including its closure and exemption rules. That public-records law does not replace this private site’s Privacy Notice.
Advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers on their own systems to measure activity and select ads. Some of those technologies can recognize activity across more than one website. Dunklin County Released Inmates does not control the tracking settings or privacy choices offered by an outside advertiser, portal, or search provider.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may reach another party when that access is needed to run a feature, provide measurement or advertising, comply with legal duties, or protect the service. Potential recipients include:
- Search partners that receive and process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and site use
- Advertising networks that deliver or evaluate advertisements
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
Administrative and technical safeguards are used to reduce the risk of improper access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. Security is an ongoing effort. No website, transmission, storage service, or internet-connected system can be guaranteed safe from every threat. Dunklin County Released Inmates therefore cannot promise that a breach will never occur or that information sent online will remain secure in all circumstances.
Visitors Must Be Adults
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly seek or collect personal information from a minor. A parent or guardian who believes a person under 18 submitted personal information may use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.
Choices About Personal Data
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a visitor may ask us to take the following actions concerning personal information held by this site:
- Ask what personal information is held and request a copy
- Request correction of information that is inaccurate
- Ask for deletion when retention is not legally required
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where that choice applies
